Natural Slate Tile Roof

A Natural Slate Tile Roof needs to be maintained annually.  

Look out for:

  • cracked, broken or loose tiles
  • blocked flashings,
  • torn or perished slate underlay, 
  • perished slateflex on the ridging
  • rusted or missing nails.
  • additionally, look out for areas of your roof which are uneven or sagging this could be a result of broken or rotten roof trusses.

Newtech Fibre Cement Tile Roof

A Newtech Fibre Cement Tile Roof needs to be maintained annually

Look out for:

  • cracked, broken or loose tiles
  • perished slateflex on the ridging,
  • blocked flashings,
  • underlay on ridging perished or torn (Tip: you would need to get on top of your roof to see this),
  • rusted or missing nails.

 Flat concrete roof

A Flat Concrete Roof needs to be maintained every 2 to 3 years

Look out for:

  • delaminating lap joints where torch-on is pulling loose
  • blocked outlet,
  • uneven contours which can cause ponding,
  • UV silvercoat is coming off.

Metal roof (Corrugated/IBR)

A Metal Roof need to be maintained every 2 to 3 years

Look out for:

  • loose or missing roof screws
  • lap joints that are open
  • rust
  • rotten timbers
